I used to go to/work at a camp in the Flint Hills. My favorite things were tearing across the top of a flat plateau on horseback, and sitting on top of a hill, looking down at a line of fire sweeping across a farmer's field. I have such a soft spot for the Flint Hills.
Kansas flint hills are a Midwest gem, in my opinion.
